21st Century Equipment Joint Planter & Sprayer Clinic

A great time was had by all at our Sidney and Imperial 21st Century Equipment locations during our spring clinics! Participants were invited to attend one or both of two clinics to learn about all things John Deere. The goal of our spring clinics is to educate John Deere equipment users on how to best utilize their machinery for maximum performance.

Owen Palm, 2022 Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement honoree

Owen Palm is the owner and founder 16 Nebraska John Deere dealerships and the former CEO of Western Sugar Cooperative. He served as the co-chair of BluePrint Nebraska, and has been a strong supporter of UNL’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Western Nebraska Community College and various natural resources groups, among other entities.

Why agriculture is the place to be

As we approach the midpoint of 2021, it’s time to focus on the positives that we, who are involved in production agriculture, all share. I think agriculture is the place to be right now.

Looking ahead to spring

What a difference a few months make. Who of us last September thought we would see March ’21 corn pushing $5.50/bushel or KC wheat futures over $6.00/bushel? The best part is that these prices are being sustained by both strong export demand as well as tight old crop supplies—a great combination!
