Lonnie Kuenning, Territory Aftermarket Manager for 21st Century Equipment, has navigated her career with a sense of purpose. She is also filled with determination and resilience.
“Being a woman in this industry has always presented its challenges, but I’ve always felt embraced and supported,” Lonnie shares.
Her journey began in the parts department, where she quickly recognized the personal drive to prove herself a little bit more. Over time as her hard work was frequently noticed, Lonnie moved up in the service department. She then developed a new role for the service advisors. That role has now become an integral part of the company’s operations.
Her career path is a testament to the endless possibilities available at 21st Century Equipment.
“I’ve held a lot of roles in this company in the short three and a half years I’ve been here,” she says. “There’s just so much growth opportunity”
Lonnie’s advice to any woman considering a career in this industry is simple: “Go for it. Don’t hold back. You’re never going to know the opportunities that are in front of you. I mean, I’m proof that you can do it. I’ve done it.”
Having spent her entire life in what is typically a male-dominated industry, Lonnie confidently states, “If I can do it, anybody can do it.”
Lonnie’s journey serves as an inspiration to those looking for their career path, and especially women interested in the industry. Her story demonstrates that with determination and the kind of culture of collaboration and support that 21st Century Equipment provides, anything is possible.
