At 21st Century Equipment, we’re proud to provide farmers, ranchers and property owners of all kinds the best in John Deere equipment, parts and service. Still, we know that it’s the people who make up our organization that make us really stand out.
Briann Schwartz is the parts manager at our Wray location. She got her start with the company as an intern in 2011. Although Briann grew up in Wray, she admits she didn’t have much of an agriculture background when she first started with us. It wasn’t long before her passion for ag would grow to bring her to where she is today.
Briann’s initial summer internship experience was with the Wray store, but she also spent some time at 21st Century Equipment’s location in Sterling, CO, when she went back to college.
“[21st Century Equipment] found something in me that I didn’t [see] in myself,” she says.
From there, Briann had the opportunity to experience several different locations, eventually joining our team full-time as parts manager at our Holyoke location. She has now served customers as parts manager in Wray for 7 years.
In her role, Briann assists with inventory and parts ordering and customer care. She also is vital in training new team members at the parts counter.
“Being a woman in ag has never held me back. I’ve never felt like I was being held back for being a woman,” Briann said when asked about what it’s like to be a female in what some would consider a man’s world. “I feel like I want to work harder just for the fact that I want to push myself and be the best that I can be in general.”
In fact, Briann cites the collaborative team environment we’ve cultivated at 21st Century Equipment as one of her favorite aspects about working here.
